When Julianna Kirschner was in high school, she visited her guidance counselor to talk about college. But the visit did not go the way Kirshner expected. "She told me I shouldn’t bother applying to college, despite my GPA. A career test showed I was supposed to be a secretary, but at the time, I wanted to be a writer."

On August 16, 2019 history was made at MiraCosta College. Alumna Susan Walker (’99) became the first Charter Member for the MiraCosta Alumni Association. Her $500 donation became the first of what will be many in supporting an endowed scholarship funded by alumni and friends.
Our alumni play an important role in supporting MiraCosta College's success. The MiraCosta Alumni Association will provide opportunities for alumni to engage with each other, connect with their alma mater, and interact with current students.
Whether you have taken a class, completed a certificate, or earned a degree, you are considered an alumnus because once a Spartan, always a Spartan.
