The sold out 2019 MiraCosta Alumni Association Inaugural Event on August 16, 2019 brought together alumni to reconnect and celebrate their excellence under the stars. It was a magical night full of laughter, excitement, music, and giving.
The event was presented by the MiraCosta College Foundation and the funds raised totaled more than $13,000. A scholarship has already been created to assist eligible students transferring to a four-year university of their choice.
"MiraCosta College understands the importance and value of public higher education," said Cynthia Rice, associate vice president of institutional advancement. "Our success is reflected in the incredible generosity of our alumni and friends. Proceeds generated from the event show the MiraCosta Alumni Association is able to lead by example when expressing the importance of philanthropy."
